SKW having a great tournament  - 3 x Gold 1 x Silver 1x Bronze

The fourth edition of the Ramblers tournament which is combined with the Delta School Windhoek tournament was a fruitful one for Cymot SKW. Three teams bringing home gold without loosing a single match, while SKW u/9 were only beaten in penalties in the final. Both tournaments were organised very well. At the Ramblers tournament it was the age groups u/7 till u/13 showing off, while the Delta Secondary School invited the u/15, u/17 boys and girls. According to SKW’s Rolf Beiter very good football was displayed especially in the elder age groups. All results and photos can be viewed on www.skw.com.na .

Day 1

Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) u/13's start good into tournament. The youngsters could beat NYFDP by two goals to one. SKW's girls defeating ST Georges by one goal to zero, while the u/15 lost their opening match by one goal to nil. At 21h00 the u/17 side of SKW won by two goals to one in a hectic encounter against Rebels. Today the u/11, u/ 9 and u/7 will kick off their matches at 8h00.
SKW Girls win GOLD. SKW u/9, u/13 and u/17 in semi finals! The SKW girls convincingly win the Delta tournament by beating revivals ST Georges 1-0, St Paul's 1-0 and DSSW by 2-1 last night.
Pure joy ! The SKW u/13 team won the tournament convincingly.
The RAMBLERS YOUTH SOCCER TOURNAMENT 2011 will take place this coming weekend from Friday 15 July to Sunday 17 July. Please download below the fixtures for the relevant age groups as well as the rules & regulations for the tournament.

RAMBLERS Sports Club held its fourth edition of the annual football tournament in conjunction with Delta Secondary School last weekend.

Three Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW) Academy teams won gold, without losing a single match at the event, with the exception of the Under-9 team which lost on penalties in the final. The tournament was held at both Delta and Ramblers. At the Ramblers tournament it was the age groups Under-7 to U-13, while at Delta teams of the U-15 and U-17 boys and girls competed for honours.

For the Under-7 age group, Otjiwarongo FC got gold medals, with Ramblers and SKE settling for silver and bronze respectively. The Under-9 section was won by Swallows, while SFC took second spot with Ramblers landing in third place. SKW Academy was fourth in that category.

Khomas Football Academy lost 1-0 to SKW Academy in the U-13 section, while in the U-15 section final, Swakopmund beat SFC on penalties after a one-all draw. The U-17 section saw SKW Academy beating Rebels on penalties after another one-all stalemate in the final match.

The girls played on a round-robin basis and the winning team was SKW Academy, followed by St George’s, with St Paul’s in third. DSSW was fourth for the girls.

According to SKW Academy’s Rolf Beiter, the players displayed a high quality of play in their respective age groups, especially the older players.



Imawida scoops gold at youth tourney - by Staff Reporter New Era 21 July 2011

WINDHOEK – The 4th edition of the Ramblers tournament in conjunction with Delta School Windhoek tourney proved fruitful for Windhoek based outfit Cymot Sport Klub Windhoek (SKW).

The Germans saw three of their youth teams capture gold without losing a single match, while SKW Under-9s only lost once in the final on penalties.

The combined competition was well organized with Ramblers hosting youngsters in the Under-7 up to Under 13 age groups, while Delta Secondary School took charge of proceedings in the Under-15 and 17 age categories for boys and girls.

According to SKWís Rolf Beiter, the youngsters displayed skill and talent way belying their tender age notably in the older age groups.

SKW won three of the seven categories at the fourth edition of the Ramblers Youth Soccer Tournament, which was held in conjunction with Delta School on Saturday.

SKW won the U13, U17 and the girls’ categories at the tournament, which was held at Ramblers Sports Club.

In the U17 match, SKW beat Rebels on penalties after the match ended in a 1-1 draw.  Swakopmund FC were the winners of the U15 category in a match that also had to be decided on penalties after the match ended 1-1 against Celtic. SKW U13 beat Khomas Football Academy 1-0 in the final to win the gold medal in the category. Swallows finished on top after the matches were played on a round robin basis. Swakopmund FC were second with Ramblers and SKW third and fourth respectively. Otjiwarongo Football Club won the U9 age group on penalties after they drew 1-1 with SKW after the full time. The U7 category was also played on a round robin basis and was won by Otjiwarongo FC with Ramblers second and SKW third. SKW won the girls category with St Georges second.
